10:30 | NEGATIVE NEWS - No sign this morning of the Ibis in the fields it has been frequenting. The fields were under water recently and now partly frozen, so this may have made it move on.

14/01/24 | GLOSSY IBIS | Little Marlow GP | 1 | L Evans |
15:00 | juv. The juvenile found yesterday was still present this afternoon but very mobile due to being flushed frequently by dogwalkers. It was commuting backwards and forwards across the River Thames to a lovely flooded area below Winter Hill and favoured the flooded pool in the second field west of the railway crossing at Spade Oak. At times it was very approachable. A juvenile, with a contrasting pale tan head and neck and very dull plumage. I last watched it fly back across the Thames at 3pm, then watched it on the Marlow side until late, before it flew to the pit island to roost.

14:20 | A first winter bird found by Simon Ramm was still present in the riverside meadows just to the east of the STW. It was feeding with Black-headed Gulls and was flushed a couple of times. Eventually it flew across the river into Berkshire where it could be seen feeding in another meadow.
