singing males. Along western perimeter. There seems to be 8 establishef territories in total, one more than last year, but still pretty poor. With the amount of apparently suitable habitat I would have expected c.40 based on 1970s/80s standards. Shifting baseline syndrome!

pair together. The 1st female I've seen so far. Got a glimpse of a probable courtship feed - I've not seen this often - fem seemed to be prospecting for a nest site. Unfortunately they're c.1 month behind the vegetation - ought to have young in the nest to be in sync. SU7933.
