Together in a tight flock were clearly the birds from the South Lake, they were reacting to the presence of the Peregrine.
21/07/24FERRUGINOUS DUCKWillen Lake North, Willen Lakes1M Wallen

ad male. I wasn't expecting this as I chatted to Andy Handford as I was scanning the ducks this morning. It was in with an obvious influx of Tufted Duck which weren't at this number a week ago. We both then had fabulous views and obtained video and photos. The bird is fully winged and looks to be unringed (both legs seen). It is present on the East side of the island and certainly looking settled this morning. Seemingly an adult male.
