| Watched from S of Hambleden Lock for 15 minutes as it circled slowly away WSW with a Red Kite. Estimated trajectory of half a mile away to two miles away shows it N of the river in Bucks. |

| A dark morph Booted Eagle which had roosted with Red Kites in woods at Culham overnight ( Berks) was seen to leave the roost and move off west down the valley of the R. Thames. It was picked up again at 10.50 and I watched it with ADB and GS as it thermaled drifting slowly in a SW direction taking it from Berks airspace, through Bucks and into Oxfordshire. Last seen at 11.05 still drifting away being mobbed by two Jackdaw. Not seen again but will hopefully return to the Culham roost this evening. Obviously a first for all three counties and possibly the same bird moving with Red Kites in Cornwall earlier in the year. |
