S P Piggott236Congratulations to JNJ, well done. Highlights were 6 Hants ticks, Spring Bird Race, Didier's header and a lot of laughs with MH and SK. Lowlight was the appalling 2nd half to the year thus lack of mojo and finishing just 1 short of my personal record. I won't be trying next year but good luck and Happy NY to all for 2013.31/12/2012
M Halligan235Congrats to Jammy Jones. An unbeatable combination of time spent in the field and luck!! Yearlisting Highlight - Black Kite, Birding highlight - winning Spring Bird Race. Lowlight - spending too much time in pubs with Piggott & Keen....who I blame jointly for the stress that trying to Yearlist whilst with Wife+kids+FTE creates. Work moving me to Dorset half way through year didn't help much! Happy to see end of the year :) 30/12/2012

=S Keen233Cheers to S and M, anyone who can put up with a year of me deserves some sort of prize; well done to NRJ, anyone who can miss the peak three weeks but no birds deserves the title; personal highlights: the singing Snipe that claimed the May bird race, some cracking mothing nights in the forest and beyond, 48 spp of butterfly despite the best efforts of the British weather; some very nice pubs; but mostly knowing I won't be doing anything quite so stupid again.31/12/2012
A Davidson232Highlights so far:Pec Sand, Red-backed Shrike, Marsh Warbler, Woodchat Shrike, Night Heron, BW Stilts, Rose-coloured Starling, Red-breasted Goose, Green-winged Teal, Glaucous Gull, Shore Lark, Spanish Sparrow, Caspian Gull, Red-necked Grebe, Dark-eyed Junco, Cattle Egret, Iceland Gull, Smew, Fug. Duck23/12/2012
L M Fuller231Congrats to NJ! By far my highest total and should of been more! Missed a lot through not being able to get out of bed which were Pom skua, Balearic shear, velvet scoter, roseate tern! Plus missed a few due to a broken elbow for 6 weeks which were spotted crake and wryneck! And never saw the RNP!! Total therefore should have been high 230's!! All in all a great year for me in Hanpshire.....02/01/2013
A Lewis229My final total for the year, as I'm away for the rest of it. An enjoyable year, not really going for year ticks (eg no wryneck or spotted crakes twitched) and no days taken off work; so could perhaps have got to 232 or so. Being abroad cost me quite a few including Marsh Warbler and Ferruginous Duck, but of course that will be back soon enough, while I'm away!21/12/2012

A R Howe223Again, I will be living in Cumbria for the vast majority of the year, so no point taking this yearlisting malarky too seriously.13/01/2013

S Ingram205Ovenreadies - now ticked in the Cricks...and did not see SP protesting too much as pint of Stella dissapeared down his neck!! I am going to set myself a modest target of 200 because of my commitments this year! Ferry Boat Inn - Sept 9th....just to Grip off Ovenreadies!!29/12/2012
T Lawman202Having a bad year, in terms of hours in the field as predicted. Can't quite believe how my tarts are falling though from a Hants perspective. Target 200! Relieved to have made it at the last minute.Looking forward to better things in 201301/01/2013

P S Scorey136Well after a terrible year list last year I am hoping for better this year now that Joe is into his second year,as I should be able to spend a bit more time with my bins. Happy with my start so far, just need to try and keep going now.09/10/2012
S Mansfield132By foot/cycle from Alton (inland). Highlights: Peregrine, Goldeneye, Raven, Hen Harrier, Smew, SEO, Ruff, daytime Barn Owl flushed by Jackdaws. CRANE 3 self-found over Fleet Pond. Bar-wit at Woolmer. 100-up on 11 March. After 129 by the end of may, just 3 more by christmas, despite many miles cycled. No Turtle Dove. No Nightjar in my usual walkable spot - trees now too tall on what was clearfell. Autumn was hopeless for waders inland. Butterflies: 31.
