S P Piggott234At last, I can switch my phone off;-) Very pleased to finish top after a long and often mojo sapping year. Many thanks to everyone on Goingbirding for putting news out and to all those finders of some excellent birds. Sadly fell 4 short of my pb but there is always next year eh? (not) My biggest thanks and a big sloppy kiss each go to Mark and Steve for the helping hand, several kicks up the backside and more laughs than I can count. Cheers guys, impossible to do the year without your help - and I never want to see you again (well, not until silly o'clock tomorrow anyway). Happy New Year everyone.31/12/2014
S Keen233Congratulations SP, a proud win for team O, hope they've got a very sturdy rostrum for the medals ceremony. Thoroughly looking forward to seeing a lot less of you next year. Of my total, 227 species were seen. Cheers to everyone for a year of good banter.31/12/2014
M Halligan229Well done to SP & SK.....just don't ever suggest me doing that again!! Well done to the others who put in the hours. Highlight was the ST Eagle. Low-light shared between Grey Phal and WfG serial dips. Short of my 235 pb...which I will try hard to never try and beat!26/12/2014
W Borras226Target 230+!10/11/2014
A Lewis224Latest: Velvet Scoter at Milford on 14th December. A great year personally with many hours in the field rewarded with finds of Bee-eater, Cattle Egret, Richards Pipit, Iceland Gull and co-identifier of the Keyhaven Semi-P, plus other scarcities such as Storm Petrel, Grey Phal and Velvet Scoter. Other highlights were the superb Short-toed Eagle, photographed at close range, the Franklin's Gull seen 6 times and relocating DR's Siberian Stonechat. No mid week twitching for year ticks as I was working in London so with more effort could gave added Glossy Ibis, BW Stilt, Snow Bunt and others perhaps to get to 230? Next year some of us are doing a photographic year list! Happy Christmas all14/12/2014
D J Ryves222Although happy to have beaten PB disappointed not to have reached 230+ should have spent more time sea-watching at Milford otherwise final total was not through lack of effort though not always with the necessary luck needed. Highlights were ST Eagle (after many hours of searching), helping ID Sibe Stonechat and self finding both Iceland Gull (on local patch) and Franklin's Gull (albeit at the same time as those in another hide). Many thanks to all involved especially the 2 Steve's, Wayne and anyone involved in getting any news out promptly. Circumstances decree next year will be less intense however main target next year is to join the elite list of those with 300+ Hants birds but with no lifers, and only 2 UK and 3 Hants ticks this year I may have to spend more time out of county next year.31/12/2014
A R Howe2212014 highlights; White Stork, Short-toed Eagle, Red-backed Shrike, Siberian Stonechat & Franklin's Gull. Not a bad year I suppose.07/12/2014

S Ingram203Congrats to Mr Piggott for being top of the league at the end of the year as are his beloved Chelsea. Good effort Mr Keen, I never thought you had the stamina to last a whole year, let's hope your achievments spur on Saints to also make Champions league as well!!! Third place to another; although slightly less motivated Ovenready! You should have been inspired by your team, the high flying AFC Bournemouth!! Happy New Year to all!! Highlights 2014: Lesser Yellowlegs; L-b Dowitcher; Red-breasted Goose; Ferruginous Duck; White Stork; S-t Eagle; R-b Shrike; Pec Sand; Sibe Stonechat; Yellow-browed Warbler; Franklin's. 18R Sawyer173This is the first time I have compiled a Hants year list (ignore the 2013 record posted in the wrong screen) so not too shabby and ahead of Mr Codlin! Had a great year (still a few days to go) and many thanks to all those people who pointed me in the right direction of so many different and brilliant birds.30/12/2014

L J Amey135Not a bad year, considering it's the first time i've actually listed anything!Did not set a target (but a bit disappointed not to reach 150 toward the end)! Need to sea watch to bump up my numbers. 95% were self finds, so overall quite pleased. Met some good folk this year, and thanks to all those who have given me advice and tips. All the best and looking forward to 2015. 10/09/2015
B Stalker133Final total. Around £600.00 raised for Cancer Research UK. Thanks to those who sponsored me! 31/12/2014
S Mansfield130Another bash at walk/bike from Alton so inland only. Farmland Great Grey Shrike 5/1. Water Pipit. Corn Bunting. Willow Tit. Ring Ousel. Lesser Whitethroat at a new site for me - this plus Nightingale both good "cyclists birds" found from song. Found a local Turtle Dove after a couple of blank years but waders were rare with the high water levels everywhere. Decent autumn - Yellow Wags at various sites, Black-Tailed Godwit, Common Sand, Yellow-Leg Gull, Pintail, East Hants Osprey, Dartford (eventually - still low numbers on local heaths). And Rhea. Overall - a decent score - with a couple missed (Plastic Barnacle and Nightjar). Well done Barry on the basingstoke total.01/01/2015
