| 22:40 | Listened to a male churring for some time in a tree very nearby but no sighting. After it stopped a second bird came from behind and flew low directly over me, swerving and giving me a fleeting glimpse - a nightjar! Almost immediately after it disappeared from sight I heard the kee-wick of a tawny owl from the same direction. I wonder if the two almost collided! | |||
