Over the fish ponds just before dark with a small duck, probably a Teal. Amazingly, my second patch tick of the weekend...

With Golcrests and a Treecreeper in hedge along the southern lane in the village. My first Firecrests in the Bickton 'loop' in the nearly 9 years that we've lived. A good find but despite much effort this autumn here I remain YBWless ...!

Probably a few more than this. A decent roost developing this year in the small reed bed by the old fish ponds. There are always plenty of Pied Wags around here but I've never knowingly found a roost site.

I don't usually think too much about our local Collared Doves, but I've never seen this many together here, or come to think of it, anywhere?! 26 sitting on one telegraph line together.
