Only a trickle until 1630 when the majority were heading East in front of a rainy squall. A good number of this year's sooty brown young birds. After the rain came along at 1700 none at all. [Ventnor].

At about 7.30 the bushes and trees along the road were suddenly full of a mixed flock of chiffchaffs and tits moving through. As they flew across a gap they were counted accurately at 73 (+c. 25 Blue/great/LT tits). Then at 7.45, just as suddenly, they all disappeared, leaving about a dozen more spread across the rest of the site. [National Trust].
