An absolute minimum, impossible to estimate as there was a constant movement going East with lesser numbers of Swallows. Watching from the "Raptor Hump" they were coming from the West and along from Martins Down with hundreds in view at any one time, heading over and out to sea over Luccombe & Sandown Bay. Started my watch at 11am and at 12.30 this huge movement petered out with only a few parties afterwards. Spectacular.
