A nice range of habitats but impoverished by road noise. It will take some luck (or friends!) to reach 200. Iceland Gull 04.02.23 moves it onto 199. Stone-curlew at Lee (found by Ian Watts) on 29.06.24 brings up the 200.30/06/2024

So many Lakeside highlights over the years : Red-rumped Swallow; Rose-coloured Starling; Slavonian Grebe; Avocet (2x); Little Tern (2016); Arctic Tern; Sandwich Tern (4 birds so far); Various Waders and ducks that are always a pleasant surprise. Bitterns & rarities have always evaded me, but the rewards have been great. Sadly the variety, extent and quality of Alresford's wetland habitats have deteriorated alarmingly since the 1980s - breeding Redshank but a memory.18/09/2022
