imm fem. Close to the entance of EVRI. Faint crescent visible along with pale tips to belly and neck plumage. Bird flew up onto railway fencing and then accross the marsh.

2. Nothing unexpected you would think being on the River Test - however, the track/road is currently under a foot or so of water that put paid to my bike ride. Whilst considering my options a kingfisher plunged from on over head tree into the flood that is normally a road and continued to feed for about 5 minutes. It was koined by a sccond bird doing the same. I have no idea what they were feeding on , maybe grubs or even fish from the overflow. At least 6 chiffchaffs also seen and a steady stream of swallows.If you are going near the site in the next few days take careand may be wear waders od good wellies!

Large group of feeding hirundines. At least 50 swallow and approx 45 House Marins all dridfting over the fields and hedgerows.
