The pair of returning swifts in one of our swift boxes produced 2 chicks, which appear to have fledged and deserted the box, along with the 2 parents. However, we are still getting small groups of swifts flying over, up to 7 at a time, including tonight. SU362127.

A pair - possibly last year's successful breeders - flew into the existing swift box in my back garden, which has the old nest still intact, and didn't reappear for the next 50 minutes when I finally called it a day. In addition, up to 4 'bangers' flew through the garden, screaming and hitting both boxes, at various times throughout the afternoon. SU362127.
