| 12:55 | I found it at 12:55 as it lifted off the water a couple of times in front of the Dock Head silos. It tried to rest but 3 Herring Gulls harassed it. One pulled it off the water by its neck but it was strong enough to get free and then evade the trio and escape up the Itchen. I found it again north of the jetty, first in flight and then sitting on the water for 10 minutes. It then flew to the Itchen Bridge and circled to gain height, It kept moving out of view on the Woolston side and when it was higher than the bridge it never came into view again. I assume it headed off over land. I checked the Southampton Water side again and a few points up the estuary to Northam Bridge and then off Centurion BP but didn't find it. | |||
